Grey Crowned Crane Scarf

R 790.00

We designed our new range of scarves around the idea of creating awareness through our stories of these beautiful species.

Grey Crowned Cranes are currently under threat, habitat loss, and the illegal removal of the birds and their eggs in the wild. The actions from all this have driven rapid declines during the past 45 years. The current estimated population has declined from 100,000 in 1985 to less than 33,500. Once plentiful in Rwanda, there are now fewer than 500 individuals left.

Grey Crowned Cranes are believed to be a status symbol of wealth and longevity to those who own them and are kept in captivity by wealthy families or hotels.

Size: 120cm x 120cm, our scarves are printed on a light silk/satin fabric, which makes caring for your scarf easy but still gives it a luxurious look and feel.
